I wouldn't usually sell an LP in this condition. But it is still an OK player - and original 60's. Might be of interest to someone who is particularly into label variation and rarity items. This particular pressing is from summer 1969 and is in mono. There's no SIUK statement - and this puts the pressing into quite a tight time frame. We also have the original mono gatefold cover. Neither are in great condition. So, the buyer would have to be someone very keen on best value - or someone who particularly wants this label variation.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg-) I'm not grading it any higher than that. Moderate to heavy use and there are many light marks and a couple of small semi-feelable ones which which will sound temporarily. CLEARLY - if you are someone who can't stomach markings and will freak out...this is certainly not going to the copy for you. If you are someone who can compromise, here, it actually doesn't play all that bad in reality. The sixties copies were pressed heavy and, particularly in mono, can take a bit of a beating. Most tracks play pretty well. But you're going to get some noticeable background in, I would say, one track per side. One side 2 - it's "WI64". Which is always a bit of a fussy track. Plays ok - but clearly with background. There's also a mark in 'SLH' so expect a couple of clicks in a couple of spots. Like I said - overall - not really that bad actually. Better than I was expecting. But clearly needs a good home from a)Someone who needs maximum vfm or b)Someone who appreciates the rarity/label angle and can accommodate the condition.
Cover (G) On the face of it it looks ok. Front and back are ok no major problems. The one major issue with this cover is the interior image is slashed through the mid rift of George and Paul. The slash has been taped up - so it no longer gapes. But it is still very evident. The spine is ok - about average.
