<<60th Anniversary Alert>>
An original 1st press on UK RCA silver spot label from 1961. Note the tax code "OT" which dates the record to 1961. Matrix 1B/1B - 1st cut. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with flipbacks. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a minor deviation in one track. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Expect a touch of lightest background in 'Island of Love' - but that's all I could detect. Nothing upfront at all and this is a hellishly fussy track anyway. Overall very impressive - particularly when you consider the vintage.
Cover (Vg+) Notorious for surfacing in terrible condition - but someone's been pretty careful with this one. Please note the original lamination has come away. It has, however, done a good job of protecting the cover down its 60 year lifespan. Nice clean front with only light signs of ageing and a couple of thumbnails. The rear usually tarnishes and exhibits a lot of wear. But this example is still looking pretty tidy. the flips have aged and there's a touch of flipback damage bottom right [fully repaired]. Overall - tidy. Minimal edge wear. The spine is 100% intact.
