CUSTOMUSIC (19) ROWE AMI Background Music Records 33 1/3 rpm

EXTREMELY RARE

19 CUSTOMUSIC Commercial Records, all have the code C7g A and B sides, labeled Commercial and Not For Sale

Property of Rowe International, Inc. Whippany, New Jersey

Numbers on records are 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, (missing 70), 75, 80, 85, 90, 95 and 100  For whatever reason, this is almost every 5th record, not sure if there were records in between these numbers in this series.

CONDITION: Records are VG++-Excellent-Mint; Nice Gloss, the only record with any issue is 100, it has spots on the record (see pictures) but I played it and did not notice any real issues, sounds fine and does not skip when it plays that part of the record.  Not sure what it is but does not affect the sound that I could tell.

Labels are also VG+ with generic white sleeves

Detail pictures of a couple of the records and the labels, and of the record with the spots on it.  I played a couple of the other ones and they all sound great.  See pictures, as they are part of the description of the actual item you will receive. Email me with any questions.

Background: The word CUSTOMUSIC was the name of a background music library developed by Canteen Corporation and was made at the AMI juke box company in Grand Rapids, MI. Ken Wieringa, the owner of Customusic Service Company, was an employee of Canteen in the 1960’s and worked with the Sound Division for 18 years. In 1979 Canteen sold the Sound Division to Ken and the name Customusic Service Co. was formed with the approval of Canteen and Rowe (AMI).  I don’t believe they are still making records like these anymore.
