<<60th Anniversary Alert>>
An original 1st press on UK RCA silver spot label from 1961. Note the tax code "OT" which dates the record to 1961. Matrix 1B/1B - 1st cut. Stampers 1B/1B. Which actually infers this disc is a copy from the 1st ever stamper employed by Decca on Blue Hawaii [under the Buckingham sequence]. I think you'll agree - that's pretty cool. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with flipbacks. We also have an original Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. By and large a beautiful player - but not perfectly clean 100% of the time. When on song this copy is extremely impressively. Lovely warm audio with excellent detail. Very clean indeed. Particularly when you consider this is Elvis from 1961 and a lot of the audio is extremely fussy. Expect nothing worse than faint 'presence' occasionally in a couple of spots per side [e.g. the very fussy Kuuipo]. Nothing vaguely worth worrying about - I am just mentioning to be ultra-critical. Given this is Elvis and all original - I don't think you'll be seeing this level of preservation in a hurry. And, remember, this copy is from the 1B stamper too [sweet!]
Cover (Ex) Notorious for surfacing in terrible condition - but someone's been extremely careful with this one. Lovely clean front with nothing worse than a couple of very fine creases. The rear usually tarnishes and exhibits a lot of wear. But this example is almost perfectly preserved. Hardly any ageing and only lightest possible handling. All flipbacks are intact and secure. Very little edge wear and sharp openings. The spine is 100% intact. A bit of a stunner. 
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
