An original USA 1st press of MMT on Capitol label from '67. Folks should know the story on this one. 1st released as 2 X Ep in the UK - in the USA they went with the LP format. It wasn't released in LP format in the UK until 1976. But if you were a fan of the Lp format in '67 you could import yourself a copy from Capitol USA. Note the gold sticker in the top right corner - "Imported by EMI". The labels are true to '67 and do not mention the 'subsidiary' text. The vinyl comes housed in an original USA printed gatefold cover with photo pages. Even the original plain white inner is present. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. PRESSED BY SCRANTON - "IAM"
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and has only seen light use. Expect a few blemish bag-rash type marks...the superficial sort which will not touch the audio. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Given the vintage this copy is playing pretty darn smart. Clearly the value here - is in the LP. Some very nice solid clean audio. Not perfect - but clean and very appealing. Remember - there are very collectable mono copies from the same period... but they tend to be expensive. For the price I'd argue that this copy is a bit of A STEAL.  A few crackles in one isolated spot per side. It plays the fussy numbers well too. Even STRAWBERRY plays really nice - when it tends to get totally mashed. Sweet!<<<<
Cover (Vg/Vg-) Not up to the standard of the vinyl - but hey...it's all there and it's all original. The front of the cover is in pretty smart condition - probably above average. A bit of light surface wear on the rear as is common. The real issue with this cover is inside - it is WELL tanned. It looks like all the photo pages are present. But as is very common the main section of the photo booklet has come away in one piece. Expect a bit of edge wear. The text on the spine is mostly still legible, but it has TARNISHED quite a bit. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Aged. But no splits.
