An original 1st stereo press of  LIB on UK Decca. Matrix 1W/2W. Stampers 1UU/1CU - excellent audio provenance. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed in England. Please note this cover is not a later 'swap out' - this a true 1st. The rectangular sticker residue patch on the front - is where the original sticker resided. True 1st copies [like this example] should have a format hole indicator on the rear and a pinched spine. We also have the original bespoke inner sleeve - without the London Bach Choir redaction.. Sorry, No poster.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A really clean player. Go straight to 'Love In Vain' - this will sort the men out from the boys. Whilst not perfectly clean - this example is playing much cleaner than you typically find. Some light presence in the odd spot - but overall very nice clean player for this super fussy LIB track. A few crackles observable in one isolated spot per side [e.g. super quiet intro to Silver]. What's to complain at? Nada! Snap it up before the next page impression!!
Cover (Vg) Ok, not up to the standard of the vinyl, but hey it's original and it's more than adequate. Note the sticker residue patch on the front - remember this does help to prove authenticity for a genuine 1st. I will also mention that the front does seem to exhibit a strong greenish hint. Now, is that due to a reaction with the light - or perhaps some just came out this way? I can't say for sure - just be aware that that's how it looks. A few thumbnails on the front. The rear can often look a right old state - but this example is petty tidy. A bit of edge wear. The only slight let down is the spine. Text is still mostly legible. But expect a few stress creases - which have slightly impaired the rigidity of the spine. Overall - pretty decent I'd argue.
Inner (Vg+) Lightest ageing. No splits. But small amount of damage in top right [repaired].
