Penguin Guide still extols this set as "inspired performances," noting that each concerto is animated by "a youthful spark from the spontaneously combusting Barenboim." Right On! Penguin finds the original Full Stereo recording sports "vivid, clear, and quite full sound." Also Too True! First Concerto offers as well Barenboim's own youthful, awesome, and inventive cadenzas. This is the Superb original Angel Full Stereo U.S. version (SD-3762) of 1968 issued on heavy-gauge vinyl of the era. First Edition and Mainly Early Disk Pressings. Disks' deadwax hand-engraved A1 (Side 1), J7 (Side 2),  A1 (Side 3),  A1 (Side 4), B4 (Side 5), A3 (Side 6), A3 (Side 7), and B2 (Side 8) indicating First or Early Pressings from the original masters. Visual inspection under bright light shows all disks appear flawless retaining a high-gloss vinyl sheen on all sides. Vinyl easily Near-Mint. All disks appear to have been little played. Stout Box Set is Near-Mint as well with all seams firmly intact. Not a Cut-Out.
