Live recording from 1949 by Chilean pianist Rosita Renard (1894–1949) performing compositions by Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Ravel and Debussy. She died suddenly soon after this recording was made as a result of trypanosomiasis/encephalitis, and as such there are very few documents of her playing of any kind.
CONDITION: Vintage Vinyl - Excellent, mild wear is evident, but the records have been tested and sound very good with no apparent scratches or marring of sound.
Jacket: The spine has dislodged from the body of the case but the two parts of the outer sleeve have no other damage. Textured gatefold sleeve is in near-mint condition.
The enclosed booklet (12 pp.) is in Spanish, English, and German, detailing her life and the significance of these recordings. It is in fine condition with a minor crease on two pages.
PROVENANCE: There is an included letter from the Dean of the Indiana University School of Music (undated) relating its gifting to the institution.
