Classic Records now fulfilled a great wish for many rock fans: the legendary concept album "Quadrophenia" as a high-quality new edition! The thick flap cover contains a glued 43-page booklet with the texts and many photos. The story in "Quadrophenia" is about a boy whose adolescent age was representative of the adolescents in the mid-1960s. The music, but also the contents of this LP demonstrate an artistic highlight of The Who, they should no longer reach him despite further great successes. The record was also a sort of retrospective retrospective of the band's own time in the early 1960s. Pete Townshend artistically used the term schizophrenia. The four musicians of The Who all find themselves as characters in the protagonist of the plot again, because each one had a special part in this story of young people in the 60s ..............

QUADROPHENIA DOUBLE LP SET -. After the worldwide success of Tommy, Pete Townshend decided to take a second stab at "rock opera" and 1973's Quadrophenia was the result. This LP was mastered and cut from the original ¼" analog master tapes by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering using Classic's all-tube analog cutting system.
After the worldwide success of Tommy, Pete Townshend decided to take a second stab at "rock opera" and 1973's Quadrophenia was the result. Its premise is rooted in a teenage perspective in 1964-'65, and the friction between "mods and rockers" in the London and Brighton regions of the UK. The four-way split personality of the central figure "Jimmy" has been admitted by Townshend as also being based on the distinct personalities of the four band members. The legendary Glyn Johns' production is both powerful and stunning with the writing and arrangements, featuring maybe the most tasteful use of both sound effects and synthesizers in rock recording, brilliant. This LP was mastered and cut from the original ¼" analog master tapes by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering using Classic's all-tube analog cutting system. Die Story in "Quadrophenia" handelt von einem Jungen, dessen Zeit des Heranwachsens stellvertretend für die Jugendlichen Mitte der 60er Jahre war. Die Musik, aber auch die Inhalte dieser LP demonstrieren einen künstlerischen Höhepunkt von The Who, sie sollten ihn trotz weiterer großer Erfolge nicht mehr erreichen.
