VINYL is NEAR MINT / NEAR MINT -
Full Gloss Vinyl looks and plays like new - with the note of a small sheen spot on the very edge of the rim of the record, completely outside the grooves. PLAY TESTED, found no problem or noise whatsoever; even in the lead-in before the music. NO other marks - pristine grooves start-to-finish, both sides. Labels are immaculate.

COVER is VG
Actually a very nice looking cover that gets down-graded due to some light ripple at bottom of cover; otherwise a solid VG+ with faint ring impression but no real surface wear to vivid, fragile coated-stock cover. Some mild lower corner/edge creases and lightly bumped (still sharp) corner tips. small (3/4") spot of wear top seam. No splits.

DEEP Berlin School Analog Electronics from Australian duo w/German ex-pat Steven Maxwell Von Braund.

Debut album by the experimental electronic music duo CYBOTRON, formed in Melbourne, Australia, of German expatriate Steven Maxwell Von Braund (ARP 2600 & Korg 700 synthesizers, electronic percussion, sax) and Geoff Green (organ, Korg 700 & ARP 2600 synthesizer). Being a German expat, Braund had been exposed to much of the Krautrock and early electronic rock scene, including the likes of CAN, ASH RA TEMPLE, AMON DÜÜL II, KLAUS SCHLUZE, TANGERINE DREAM as well as the UK's HAWKWIND and PINK FLOYD.

Initialy released in 1976 on Von Braund's own Clear Light of Jupiter imprint in Australia only, they caught the attention of French Prog/Electronic label CRYPTO who unleashed the album onto Europe in 1977.

They were the first Australian example of pure electronic rock at a time when that country's music scene was mainly dominated by pub rock. Thick layers of analog synths, vast textures and electro-percussion, with sometimes, electronically treated sax, dominate their marvelously inventive aural soundscapes in a style emulating the direction of the 1970's German cosmic sounds. Berlin School would be a big influence in the music. Their "mind-expanding brain food" is surprisingly powerful, propulsive, energetic and epic.

CYBOTRON's eponymous debut album is an Australian cult space-out electronic trip. This album is the first one published under the CYBOTRON name (Von Braund had a solo album under his name previously) - reminiscent of Klaus Schulze / Tim Blake's golden analog-synth era - but Cybotron's original sound brings much more propulsive-energetic vibes into the interweaving synthscapes. Consequently this is not relaxation music but an inspired-kinetic and atmospheric voyage through inner spaces with epicly-moving and rhythmical sci-fi soundscapes.

Sadly he has now finally left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.

I do NOT EVER want to exclude all bidders from any particular country, even though a few specific countries are responsible for almost all spurious "not received" or "not as described" claims over the years. This evolves... for instance in France, buyers from Ile de France area seem, more and more, to be very prone to make a false claim. (one of my earliest, very best customers was from Ile de France but moved to Belgium some years back) ...so even there, I hate to exclude ALL buyers from there; however I cannot possibly afford to be scammed due to the unlucky result of a winning bidder being a bad actor. Also it seems to be the fun game recently for some in Germany, Spain and Italy to buy far more than the collector can afford and make false claims on many of them. Italy has long Customs hold times. In NONE of those cases is it my fault and I will not lose out because of other countries' problems beyond my control. Having said that, I will not ever cancel any bidders with solid, good reputations and feedback.
