An original 1st press of OPERA on UK custom EMI labels. Matrix 2/3. Etching 'Blairs'. The vinyl comes housed in an original embossed gatefold cover with sealed left opening - forming a nice solid panel. We also have the original bespoke inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In marvellous condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with two minor deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A super player - if you need to witness Queen at the height of their powers with a perfect rendition.. you came a knockin' at the right door! Beautifully clean audio allowing you to fully appreciate the genius of this classic title. Hard to find fault - plays clean into the fussiest sections e.g. intro to Rhapsody. Not much to take issue with. Maybe a few crackles briefly in the run into 'Love Of My Life' and one isolated tick [difficult to avoid entirely on this fussy track]. And one isolated pop right at the start of 'Prophet' [before Freddy comes in]. A small price to pay for a cracking rendition. Highly accomplished. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex) Difficult to find in top level condition. And just when you think you're looking at a decent copy - the photos will no doubt be playing tricks with your eyes. Don't ASSUME a cover is white and clean just from the photos. Make SURE the seller promises you a white cover! What I can assure you on THIS example is that the photos do not lie! This example looks unaged and untarnished..."AND ACTUALLY IS WHITE". Very unusual to find an original cover which has escaped the ageing process and dirt, an surface wear etc etc. Only the very slightest handling observable in a couple of spots. The interior is just as good with both interior panels beautifully white. Very little edge wear at all and sharp firm openings. The spine is 100% without wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition. A couple of light creases at the edge. Very start of a bottom edge split - but it hasn't really worked through much.
