An original 1st pressing from '77 for the European market [including UK]. Matrix A/B. Pressed in West Germany - as they all would have been for this title. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original textured cover. We have the lyric/poster sheet and an original generic white inner. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Well worth checking out a nice early clean pressing for this 70's classic. Very nice clean signal. I'm getting no background in the super fussy tracks e.g. Songbird and Gold Dust [which is unusual]. The only issue I could pick out was in the lowkey opening intro to side 2. I got about 5 minor ticks low in the mix over in the right channel. To be honest - no big deal at all. It clears out quickly as the band come in properly. Given the rest of the LP plays so well - barely worth mentioning - but I like to be exacting...
Cover (Ex-) A bit of light ageing creeping in the extremities - but not noticeably. Otherwise clean front and back without creasing. Minima edge wear and firm openings. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Insert (Ex-) A touch of light ageing, but nothing that noticeable.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. No splits.
