An original STEREO USA 1st Press from 1959. Sweet Lordy - that's early! This VERVE stereo label was only available in the late 50's. The vinyl comes housed in an original STEREO cover.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) For the vintage truly remarkable and has only seen light use. All I can make out are a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with minor deviation in a couple of spots. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across excellent clarity. A super player - not perfectly clean...but good enough to impress across the board. Just expect a bit of light static presence in a couple of the quieter moments [the Man I Love & Nice Work]. Nothing upfront. Nothing distracting.
Cover (Ex-) Given the vintage a bit of a stunner. Lovely clean and relatively unworn front cover [much better than you typically find]. The rear has avoided most of the usual wear and ageing you tend to find. A bit of light handling evidence in the odd spot, but nothing else. Edge wear is pretty minimal with just a wee bit starting to wear-through top left [no big deal really]. Firm openings. Spine is 99% intact [very impressive]. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity thanks to the heavy card employed in manufacture.
