An original MONO 1st press from summer '68 on UK Tamla. Matrix A1/B1. Stampers 1G/1G. Yes, under the Gramophone sequence this copy is from the 1st ever stamper employed by EMI. Note the labels mention 'Sold In The UK' - which you would expect on a '68 copy. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with exposed flipbacks. We also have the correct EMI advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In super condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing nasty or heavy looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with super clarity. Lightly used and from the 1st 1G stamper - this is what's gonna deliver an amazing mono cut straight to your ear-drums. A lovely clean delivery throughout with vibrancy and energy. All I could detect was a couple of minor ticks one solitary click in 'Honey Chile' & again in 'Forget Me Not'. This LP is chock full of bangers. Absolutely lovin' it!
Cover (Vg+) Not quite up to the standard of the vinyl but still very tidy. A nice clean front with just a couple of thumbnails. The rear has avoided the worst of the ageing process - just a touch of light evidence in places. Flipbacks are all intact and secure. Very little edge wear and firm opening. The spine is 100% intact.
Inner (Vg+) Tanned a bit. But no splits.
