An original 1st MONO press of OLDIES on the UK Parlophone label from 1966. Matrix 1G/1G - 1st cut. Tax code "MT". Stampers 1MM/1GA {1st mother}. Note that publishing details are present on the left side of the label - which infers 1st issue. Very nice heavy-set vinyl. We source the best quality - don't go risking any old copy from this period...we source the copies most likely to deliver best audio. The vinyl comes housed in an original Mono G&L cover. We will ship in an original mid-sixties Emitex inner.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a few light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. There are a few fussy tracks on this title. This example is playing them pretty clean with just a few crackles occasionally [e.g. Yellow Sub / Yesterday / Rigby]. Nothing upfront or unpalatable they just won't pay quite as clean as in other tracks. Overall - a little cracker.
Cover (Vg+) Nice clean front but with a touch of ageing and a coupe of thumbnails. The rear seems to have escaped most of the ageing process - but there is a bit in evidence. Flipbacks intact and secure. A bit of edge wear at corner. The spine is 99% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Emitex (Vg+) Aged a bit. But no splits.
