An original 1991 1st press for the UK market on Geffen. Matrix 1/1/1/1. Etching "Sterling". The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover with the "F?!* OFF" Sticker [chortle]. Every self-respecting gunner should be having AFD + UYI 1 & 2 in the collection. All three shifted major league numbers, but AFD is way way more straight forward to find. UYI 1 & 2 come from a period when vinyl was very much on the decent. Consequently, proper 1st issue UYI are much harder to track down - and harder still...a decent copy which hasn't been abused. Those inners are freakin' fragile! There's a lot of dynamic audio on UYI - a decent 1st is gonna sound fabbo. We also have genuine and 1st inners in top condition. We will be shipping in spares for sure! So, fully complete and 100% genuine to 1991.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In excellent condition having seen relatively light use. Under close inspection expect quite a few superficial markings per side, and one semi-feelable mark early in YATF which does sound briefly [see detail]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. A cracking copy for audio... if you need to fully witness the thunderous drums and brass come in on Live & Let Die or a clean feed as Axel's vocals warble on the outro to 'Don't You Cry'... you're gonna need a clean player. There's power and energy on this copy in abundance. But what about those more delicate moments? The quiet moments in Coma or November Rain. Don't let a half arsed copy ruin these classics. This copy delivers a rendition which will fully allow to you to take in these masterpieces. Anything detrimental? Just one issue really >>> All I could detect was a few brief crackles and a couple of ticks and 4-5 clicks early in 'You Ain't The First'. This track is still very enjoyable for the most part. But it is the only track across four sides with audible issue. Which...quite frankly.. is still an excellent strike rate.
Cover (Ex-) Sweet! Lookin good for the vintage. Lovely clean and flat front - not perfect...but not far off. Ditto the rear with just lightest handing. Slight edge wear in places, but very presentable. Sharp firm openings. Spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Ex/Ex-) This is a hard find. No ageing - whites are white! No nasty markings or writing. Here's the big deal...No splits! That is way cool. Tiny 5mm tear at opening on one of 'em. That's it y'all.
