This album was a departure from the usual “bubblegum” pop that Kylie first became famous for. This album was conceived as an “experimental” album using elements from “darker” aspects of the dance music of the time: techno, trip-hop, electronica. This was her first album that she co-produced and was part of the song writing process. It is considered to be some of her best work and has garnered a cult like following.
