You are looking at a lot of 4 original mid-1960s RCA Victor Sam Cooke German pressings. Included in this lot are Ain't That Good News, Best of, Shake and Night Beat. LPs ultrasonically cleaned and placed in new poly inner sleeves.
Ain't That Good News: Lp visually grades VG+. Very glossy with clean labels. Faint sleeve scuffs and faint surface marks seen under a bright light. Looks barely played. Play tested and play grades VG+ to EXC. Side 1 is a little cleaner sounding. Very nice pressing sonics. Clean sound with only faint, low background noise that never overpowers the music. Outer sleeve VG+. Glossy and clean. Price sticker at top right corner. Slight fading along right edge.
The Best of Sam Cooke: Visually LP side 1 grades strong VG+ and side 2 visually grades VG. There is a feelable 1 inch hairline on side 2 track B2 Cupid and the very beginning of track B3 Twisting the Night Away. This part has a low, repeated click for about 2 minutes at the end of Cupid and the beginning of Twisting... that is still a very listenable passage of the LP. Outside of this 2 minute window, the rest of the LP play grades VG+ with superb pressing sonics and only low background noise that never overpowers the music. Sleeve grades lower VG+. Outer sleeve is glossy and clean with little shelf wear. Glossy with almost no ring wear so front cover artwork is very presentable. Has a price sticker at the top right corner. Has a small, flush tear at the middle of the right edge and 2 smaller tears along the top right edge.
Shake - A Change Is Gonna Come: Visually the LP grades VG+. Nice gloss, clean labels. Faint sleeve scuffs and faint, non -feelable surface marks seen under a bright light. Side 2 has a very superficial, faint hairline at the last 2 tracks that is completely inaudible. Play tested and play grades VG+ to EXC. A little crackle on track B1, A Change is Gonna Come. Very nice pressing sonics on both siders. An overall nice sounding LP with faint, low background noise and occasional low crackle that never overpowers the music. A clean and unmarked sleeve with nice gloss. Has a few faint creases along very edges and has some color fading along the right and left edges. Price sticker at top right corner of front cover.
Night Beat: Visually the LP grades VG+. Very nice gloss and clean labels. Faint paper sleeve scuffs and faint, minor surface marks seen under a bright light. Play tested and play grades EXC. A very nice sounding LP. Clean sounding with minor, low background noise heard and occasional low crackle that absolutely never overpowers the music. Wonderful, atmospheric pressing sonics. Outer sleeve grades strong VG almost VG+. Grading VG only because it has some wear to the right edge. Otherwise its a clean and glossy sleeve with minimal shelf wear along edges. No ring wear so front cover's artwork is especially nice-looking. Has a price sticker at top right corner of the front cover. A few faint creases along the very edges.
