On offer here one of the superlative Polish violinist Henryk Szeryng's Rarest albums from 1963. Masterly performances of the late Romantic and early modern lyric violin show pieces as composed and first performed by the great Fritz Kreisler (1875-1962). Throughout, Szerygn plays with his trademark audacity, panache, and gorgeous, resonant violin tone. Even better, Disk on offer here is the original, First Edition 1963 Mercury Living Presence Stereo issue with awesome sonics and first pressings--the very best stereo recordings and processing of the era--capturing with grand brilliance every nuance of Szeryng's deft artistry. Soloist is here accompanied by his favorite, cherished chamber collaborator, the pianist Charles Reiner. Disk easily rates to Near-Mint. Visual inspection shows disk retains very high-gloss vinyl both faces with no visible flaws at all. Remarkable for its age. Play grading shows super-fine, legendary Mercury stereo sound with quiet surfaces conveying beautifully Szeryng's honeyed tone, and piercing insights of virtuoso violin performance. Deadwax hand-engraved RFR-4 (Side 1) and RFR-1 (Side 2) indicating First and Earliest Pressings of this Awesome Stereo Album--an Audiophile artifact of its era of production. Jacket is Absolutely Near-Mint as well, retaining very high-gloss cover shine and with All Seams Intact. Not a Cut-Out. Jacket appears as if printed yesterday. Interior English EMI Paper Sleeve of the era. Thus an Eminently collectible exemplar of this now very rare album. A disk obviously very well-cared for by prior owners.
