The disc was visually inspected and appears to be in NM condition.  The disc has rare non-standard WHITE LABELS used on albums destined for radio DJs, record stores/buyers, and media personnel to promote a new release.  These are typically first pressing copies, which are eted by collectors.  The wording PROMOTIONAL COPY – NOT FOR SALE is printed on each label.

The cover is in VG+ condition, with minimal shelf wear.  It has a clipped upper right corner.  Chaka Khan's name is misspelled on the back sleeve as "Chaka Kahn".

It has the original generic ABC Records green & white inner sleeve, which has no seam splits. 

It has the original full-color 33" x 47" folder poster (See photo).

(Wikipedia Excerpts)  Rufus is an American funk band from Chicago, Illinois, best known for launching the career of lead singer Chaka Khan. They had several hits throughout their career, including "Tell Me Something Good", "Sweet Thing", "Do You Love What You Feel" and "Ain't Nobody". Rufus and Chaka Khan were one of the most popular and influential funk bands of the 1970s, with four consecutive number one R&B albums, ten top 40 pop hits and five number one R&B singles, among other accolades.

Rufus featuring Chaka Khan is their gold-selling fourth studio album, released on the ABC Records label in 1975. It remained on top of the R&B album chart for six consecutive weeks.

The album includes the singles "Sweet Thing", their second #1 hit on the R&B Singles chart and also #5 hit on Pop, "Dance Wit Me" (US R&B #5, US Pop #39) and the Bee Gees cover "Jive Talkin'" (US R&B #35). According to Billboard Magazine, "Rufus Featuring Chaka Khan" was the best selling R&B album of 1976 on the Year-End Charts.

The Seller was in the retail record business in the 1970's-1980's and acquired a collection of 2500+ albums from that era, which is now being sold on Ebay. Most are promotional and collectible LPs which have never (or seldom) been played. Many are white label promos, first pressings, and often factory sealed. Grading methodology is as follows: 
M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and has never been played. 
NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks. 
VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) - Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. May have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, sawcut, or cut corner indicating it is a promotional copy. 
VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches, or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, etc.

Seller ships domestically within the United States via United States Post Office Media Mail with tracking. This is the most economical option. Seller will insure packages valued above $30. Warping could occur if vinyl records are exposed to heat and direct sunlight, so please make adequate arrangements to safely receive your packages. Per USPS, Priority Mail packages are delivered in 1-3 days.
