This is the Soundtrack of the classic 1984 cult classic. First pressing from 1985 by Enigma Records, Catalog number;(7 72004-1). Sadly the score has not been released officially to date yet. Film was written and directed by the late Dan Obannon who wrote the screen play for Alien and Dark Star with John Carpenter. The film is about two employees Frank and Freddy who work at a medical supply warehouse open one canisters that contains corpses found by Frank who hits one of them and leaks out a gas chemical called Trixon 245. It knocks them out for a while and they find help from there manager to destroy a frozen corpse that has come back to life with the gas. He turns to his friend Bert to burn the body and gas comes out of the body into the sky. Little do they know they have unleashed the Trixon by destroying the body and spreading into the cemetery making the dead come back to life to eat brains as they scream "Brannniiiiissssss". It's a classic horror zombie movie also has great punk music by great bands like The Cramps, 45 Grave, SSQ and others. The cover of the album is in Excellent condition, it has some wear of age and due to the age and exposure of being stored with out a protective plastic sleeve. The condition of the vinyl is in Mint- condition due to the some very light wear it has on both sides, you can see them in light when it shines. The Record doesn't skip on both sides when you play them goes all the way through, has some light static when you play from beginning to end the don't effect play. The record comes with the original ad with information on merchandise of the film and catologue of the artists.
This is how It came when I bought it was rarely use by the previous owner as he also owns other soundtracks. This record is 32 years old plays great and does not skip. I have posted pictures of the Soundtrack. If you don't have the record, cd, or cassette get this rare hard to find out of print soundtrack while you can if your a fan of the film or alternative, pop, punk music. I also have the CD listed if your interested as it rare as well. Get this hard to get soundtrack at a low bid while you can if your a fan of the film or into this kind of music.
This is my record grading standards I use, if you don't agree let me know and I will change it or give me your opinion. If you don't like my grading system, then do not bid or think before you do. When you bid like I said bid with confidence.
RECORD GRADING GUIDELINES
FOR VINYL RECORDS:
Mint (M): Perfect. I will only use this for a brand new, sealed item. Near Mint (NM): A nearly perfect record. No obvious signs of wear, though there may be very slight imperfections inherent in the vinyl pressing. Excellent (EX): This is a listing that may not quite be NM, but is just too good to be listed as any variation of “VG”. Very Good Plus (VG+): Record shows some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps not affecting the sound are OK. Label may have some ring wear or discoloration. Very Good (VG): Record may have some light scratches and scuffs that may affect the sound especially in softer passages of the record, but will not overpower the music. There will be no skips in the record. Very Good Minus (VG-): Record will have scratches and scuffs that will affect the sound. The noise will not detract from enjoying the record. Very old records with significant wear will be listed under this classification. There will be no skips in the record.
FOR LP COVERS & 45 & EP SLEEVES:
Mint (M): Perfect. Again…a brand new, sealed item. Near Mint (NM): No creases, folds, seam splits, or cut-out holes. Only the slightest signs of handling may be visible. Excellent (EX): This is a listing that may not quite be NM, but is just too good to be listed as any variation of “VG”. Very Good Plus (VG+): Slight creases or signs of wear may be visible.
