     This auction is for a PEE WEE HERMAN / ALLEE WILLIS --  BIG ADVENTURE DIE-CUT PICTURE DISC. 


     This disc was released in 1985 by Warner Bros. Records, to capitalize on the movie "Pee Wee's Big Adventure".  A vocal version of the song appears on the A-side, with an instrumental on the B-side (if you haven't heard the song before, you can see/hear it on youtube right now).


     Sometime over the past twenty years, I purchased a box full of picture disc records from a fellow collector friend.  He COLLECTED vinyl, but never played it!  So, we can safely assume that the picture disc itself is in near mint condition. 


     Now, let's roll back to 2006 for a moment.  Pee Wee and Miss Yvonne/Lynne Marie Stewart appeared at the East Coast fan convention, Chiller Theatre Expo in New Jersey.  For whatever reason, I did not go.  Just one more mistake in life...  I had opened the plastic sleeve the record is housed in for the purpose of getting the inlay card signed (the front of the inlay card duplicates the picture disc).  Never happened.  That's the only time this has been opened.


     Pics #5 through #12 are of the front and back sections of the picture disc.  If you look closely at the sectional closeups, you may see some dark lines mostly around the outer edge.  These are NOT cracks!  To make the picture disc, what they basically did was sandwich a liner in between two pieces of clear vinyl.  Those dark lines are of the liner discoloring due to age.  Again...no cracks.



     So, again, the record and inlay card (photographs #2 - #3 - #4 show front, back, and bottom) are in excellent condition.  The vinyl sleeve the record is housed in is in very good condition.  The front of the sleeve is fine...nice and flat.  The bottom edge has a slight curl to it (see photos #15 - #16 for bottom edge views, & #17 is a side view).  The back of the sleeve has some waving, mostly to the left side and along the top (pics #13 & #14).
