An original 1st Mono press by Decca in the UK from Xmas 1966. This is GENUINE 1st press. Lots of copies out there - but only a fraction of them actually qualify as genuine 1st. Look out for that DEECA deep groove - that's a sign of 1st press. If it's not there - there's no way it's 1st press. Lovely heavy-set vinyl. Early copies in a gatefold cover with photo pages attached in the interior. Plus an original Decca inner. 100% genuine 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few very slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome . A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with only deviation in one track. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quite and the audio comes across with great clarity. By and large a very nice clean player. Often played to death it is nice to hear this hits LP in very fine well preserved condition. SATISFACTION plays well and has usually been butchered! Not here - very nice with no noticeable issue really. The acoustic tracks are generally playing well with only the occasional minor crackle - better than what the typical copy serves up. Slight background noticeable in the fussiest track LADY JANE. Nothing upfront or unpalatable. Not perfect - but a high standard and highly addictive. One solitary tick as BLACK closes out...But if you can't get down to 'PAINT IT BLACK' on a mono 1st press that plays BRILL...there's something wrong with ya!
Cover (Ex-) Very well preserved cover and looking better than most examples.. Usually this title is in poor condition - and has been battered. The outer surfaces are clean and flat.That opening front panel is rigig flat and uncreased. Photo pages are intact in the interior and have not been heavily thumbed. Slight edge wear in places, but minimal really Spine is really nice and minimal wear. Text still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Ex) minimal ageing. No splits! Bag present.
