An original 1st press of HOTH on UK Atlantic. Matrix A2/B2 - very 1st cut . No mention of Warners logo and perimeter text all in southern sector of label. This is precisely what 1st label design looks like.  Well worth going for the earliest copies. They are close on to the original masters and pressed on solid vinyl. There are great copies and then there are FREAKIN AMAZING copies....so if you are into the best-of-the-best...read on. The vinyl comes housed in the original matt gatefold cover. The original textured inner is present too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. What a player!!!
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light careful use. Beautiful lustre. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Wow - what a copy.. Don't under estimate a grading like that on this title. Even most decent copies never manage that standard - truly. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with near perfect clarity. A cracking copy by any measure - the delivery is super clean. This allows you to sit back and marvel at this classic 70's title. Hardly any sign of background at all. There are some incredibly lowkey slow roll-ins on these tracks. Like No Qtr, and I think most copies will slip up even after light to moderate use. If you want these Zep classics clean you're gonna need a supremely well preserved copy. AND THIS BABY DELIVERS THE GOODS IN SPADES. I have NEVER witnessed a cleaner HOTH. You can just hear miles down into the mix. When you get to those super fussy tracks like No Qtr & Rain...it just cruises through them and hardly breaks a sweat...this copy is super well preserved. Pretty sure I've never heard No Qtr without any background at all.. this could well be a 1st. Within the best couple of copies I've ever had the pleasure to spin. The audio on this debut is astonishingly good. Don't settle for a 50/50 copy - this title deserves the best possible copy. FINAL UPGRADE. Why settle for less>?
Cover (Ex-) In great condition and has survived the years in much better condition than many examples. Clean surfaces and minimal surface - just one surface scratch on rear on left side near the {bum!}.....[no biggy particularly given how well preserved the rest of the cover is]. Opening panel perfectly rigid thanks to heavy grade card. Sharp openings. Minimal edge wear and the spine 100% intact. Interior superb. Again....difficult to better this standard  
Inner (Ex-) No splits. Really tidy. Ageing creeping in at extremities...
