An original 1st STEREO press of AHDN on UK Parlophone. Matrix 1/1. Lovely heavy pressing and is the absolute earliest week 1 variation. Look at the wide-body [chubby] font employed on the labels....nothing exists before this! All perfectly in line with the very 1st copies...Parlophone in perimeter text...'Recording 1st pub" exhibiting. The vinyl comes housed in an original stereo cover with flips. There's also the original Emitex inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a few light marks per side. There is one very small feelable mark in track 1. Fully tested and gives out a couple of ticks. Grooves are deep - no problemo! A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an at least VERYGOOD+ level of playback with a couple of deviations per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with really good clarity. Do expect some light background just fleetingly in a couple of the lower key tracks per side. Nothing upfront. Nothing distracting. A great original player. Little to dissappoint, here.
Cover (Vg+) Lovely clean surfaces without much sign of wear - impressive. Slight discolouration at extreme top edge of front. The rear has escaped the worst of the ageing process. There's a some noticeable on the flipbacks, but the actual back is in, otherwise, very nice condition. Overall - very presentable for the vintage. Spine 90% intact - couple of slight stress creases. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Bag present.
