An original 1st STEREO press of HDYLI on UK Columbia from 1963. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1G/1G. Yes, you should know what that means! This is from the 1st stamper ever employed by EMI... in stereo! Let me tell ya - that coupled with the condition....F-ANTASTIC....Note there's no 'Sold In UK' statement so this is the hard to find genuine stereo 1st press. Stereo in '63 was still very niche indeed...just look at PPM by the Beatles as an indicator. A really well preserved original - not abused like so many other copies. The vinyl comes housed in an original stereo over. There's also the original Emitex inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome though. For the vintage it looks extremely good. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Given the vintage - very impressive. I'm just getting clean feed - and you can hear all the detail well down into the mix. Even the quieter tracks play well above what usually surfaces e.g. Summertime. No kidding - these tracks sound A-Mazing... To be frank - this is about as good as you'll ever find it. Clean feed from the 1st stamper! At worst one isolated tick per side and a couple of crackles. Overall a really super rendition and much better than what typically surfaces. Pretty Much Unbeatable from an audio perspective.
Cover (Vg+) Difficult to find in really great condition - but this example is a cut above the average copy. Nice clean front without much creasing at all. The rear has avoided the worst of the usual fading and looks tidy. Flipbacks are well preserved with some dirt. I can remove most of this no probelm. There's little edge wear. The spine is 90% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Some ageing , and no splits.
