An original 1st issue of Revolver on UK Parlophone. Matrix 2/2. Please note this is NOT the very 1st pressing hard to find TNK alternative mix [NOT!]. This copy comes immediately after the earliest copies - and we can tell that because the labels still mention the abbreviated Dr. Robert. Lennon stepped in at 1st release and asked for it to be altered to the full 'Doctor' in keeping with the subject matter of the song. This pressing is 1st issue from the time of release whilst charting. Also look how 'Beatles' is almost hidden amongst the text on side 1 without spacing. This is how earliest pressings look - you would't really look to do that...its bad layout. Nice heavy-set pressing. We have the original mono cover. 
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In really very nice condition and has only seen light use. Note the lovely labels and unworn Tax code - quite unusual that. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side, one slight trail - nothing seemingly heavy or troublesome.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback  with a couple of slight deviations side 2. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Ok, what's the best thing about this copy apart from being 1st issue...? It plays pretty clean feed and that's difficult to find with Revolver. Very little background at all on side 1 - very impressive. Just some light background in a couple of the quieter spots on side 2. Nothing upfront. Nothing unpalatable. Overall - a cracking performer and a highly sought after title.
Cover (Vg+) The front looks nice and flat without the usual issues you tend to find. Slight grubiness in a couple of spots - see Paul and Georges chin. But I have since cleaned the cover up further...see the NEW Pauls chin in a later shot. Slight ageing at extremities - but a very tidy example over all. Expect the cover to look 15%/20% better than you are seeing it here. Slight bump bottom left corner. The rear looks good too without the usual wear. Slightest edge wear in the odd spot, but not bad at all. The spine is 80% intact and text fully legible. The cover still retains great rigidity.
