The recording was released in 1966 by Deutsche Grammophon and features renowned performers such as Wolfgang Windgassen, Eberhard Waechter, Birgit Nilsson, Martti Talvela, and Christa Ludwig. The set comes in a cardboard sleeve and is in stereo format. The catalogue number is 2713 001.
