An original 1st mono press of Pepper on UK Parlophone. Matrix 1/1 - the 1st cut. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in the original mono gatefold cover with exposed flipbacks. Original cut-outs are present too. OMG - the audio is jut out of this world...take a close look>>>>

Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Those labels are crisp and it is unusual to see the tax code unworn. Under close inspection I can only make out a few very slight marks per side, one slight trail on side 2... nothing remotely troublesome. Seriously - Nothing that will trouble these deep grooves! A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. And lets just qualify that statement...this is Pepper. this is MONO. This is 1967...And I am giving out a consistent grading of mostly Ex+. Now Folks - that REALLY MEANS SOMETHING. Intros and inbetweens are super quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. A great copy by any measure - the delivery is clean throughout. This allows you to sit back and marvel at this classic 60's title. Minimal signs of background. SLH - truly a pain to find with a proper clean background...but very much in evidence here...Abs superb. Listen to the initial cymbal strikes --- perfectly resolved. This ONLY ever happens on low-mileage copies. WYWY is just amazing on the 1st pressings...lolloping bass tones...and atmosphere...why opt for 2nd best? There are some incredibly lowkey slow roll-ins on these tracks. You can hear well down into the mix. When you get to those super fussy tracks like SLH WI64...it plays great. WI64 RARELY plays fully clean....but does, here. A couple of slightest ticks...that was it! Practically no sign of background. For Pepper and the vintage highly impressive.
Cover (Ex-) In great condition and has survived the years in much better condition than many examples. That front is in lovely order. Rear looks good with minimal handing. Minimal edge wear. The spine has folded down the middle..many copies do this.Slight wear top half of spine...but not bad at all. Interior spot on with record shop sticker on right side.. Very tidy example. Can't knock it.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Really tidy.
