Genuine DAY 1 copy - very 1st label design. Earliest copies mention 'Peter Grant' at the foot of the labels. This was corrected quickly - the 1st corrections applied stickers to cover up the PG credit. So, this i clearly a very early copy -- but one thing takes it right to the front of the pile....The very very 1st copies --- the 1st possible label design--- ALSO managed a print error and showed one of the feather symbols inverted [Side2]. It's always the side 2 that is found inverted. That's what we have here - very very hard to source. There will be very very few copies to go around - and particularly in decent condition. Original Inner from period too -- unsure of the dating on the inner sleeve so just consider it a generic lyric original from the time.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an either Excellent level of playback or Near Excellent [Slight deviation in one spot per side]. For a highly sought after title like this - very very unusual. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. You might detect a bit of low-level background briefly in one of the quieter passages per side. Nothing upfront or unpalatable - just don't expect it to be perfectly clean in all areas. If you want a definitive rendition of this all time classic...I would have a long hard think about this one...
Cover (Vg+) In smart condition with clean surfaces front and rear. Some edge wear. The spine is in really good order 80+% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Decent condition - again ..just a reminder...the inner is not necessarily from '71. Still checking it out.
