WHY IS THE STARTING BID SO LOW?

BECAUSE I PURCHASED TWO OF THESE WHEN IT WAS RELEASED. ONE IS MY “PLAYING COPY”.

I ALSO HAVE ADDITIONAL PLAYING COPIES OF A FEW OF THE LPS.

BUT I KEPT THIS SET AS A COLLECTOR’S ITEM, WHICH I BRIEFLY HAD DISPLAYED IN AN ENCLOSED GLASS SHELF FOR DISPLAY MANY YEARS AGO. IT’S BEEN STORED IN THE ORIGINAL SHIPPING BOX FOR OVER 35 YEARS.

THIS SET ROUTINELY SELLS FOR CLOSE TO $2000+ STILL SEALED IN THE ORIGINAL SHIPPING BOX.

CONDITION:

BLUE & GOLD OUTER BOX:
MINT. All hinges and clasp, nice and shiny. 

RECORDS:
MINT. Factory-fresh new All LPs have mint labels and flawless, vinyl. Brilliant shiny, full-luster discs. No spindle marks, nothing. 

COVERS:
MINT. No wrinkles, no tears, no corner pushes. The only exception is “Revolver” which is Mint-, with an almost invisible wrinkle from when I pulled it out to inspect the set before putting it up for sale. Doh!

INNER BEATLES COLLECTION CARDBOARD “RETAINER SLEEVES”:
MINT. Snow white. No wrinkles, bends, tears, nothing.

BOOKLET:
MINT. As new.  No wrinkles, bends, tears, nothing.

 

GEO DISK ALIGNMENT TOOL:
The thick plastic Geo-Disk is as new. The front cover of the Geo-Disk sleeve has some very light rub marks from pressing against the plastic dividers for so many years.

ORIGINAL SHIPPING BOX:
Rough, but original, with original distributor address. I’ve moved a lot over the years, and it’s taken its toll on the box. One of the Styrofoam packing footers is missing, because when I took it out to photograph it, it had dried out and broke after so many years in storage. Still, it’s the original MFSL Shipping Box.

FINAL OVERALL GRADING:

Just to be on the safe side, due to the slight rub wear on the Geodisc box, and the VERY slight dent on the Revolver Cover, I'd grade this set overall M-

-I only ship FedEx Direct Signature Required and insured, so this rare set is delivered straight into your hands, stopping “porch pirates” from stealing it. If this bothers you, don’t bid. I will add the FedEx tracking # to the eBay system, and send you a photograph of the drop-off receipt. 

-This set weighs approximately 18lbs, and depending on where you live, shipping FedEx Direct Signature Required may be very expensive, possibly over $100. But it's the safest method. I will send you a photograph of the FedEx drop-off receipt showing the final total and invoice you with the actual amount.  If this bothers you, don’t bid. 

 

As a serious collector for decades, I know how to ship items so they arrive safely. Will be shipped in the original MoFi carton, and then carefully packed in another outside carton.  Fast payment and I’ll ship it out the next day.

The FedEx Direct Signature Required and Insured shipping will be a lot more for this heavy set,  almost for sure over a $100+  depending on where you live. Please read the listing and you will see that it's noted you will be billed for the full shipping total once it's been weighed and packed by FedEx. The winning bidder MUST pay for the full shipping.
