Grading

Still Sealed : 

Only used if the record is in fact still factory sealed

Mint! : 

Perfect condition, as new. The record has in all probability never been played. 

There will be no spindle marks and no surface wear at all. The cover will appear as new

Near Mint! : 

The record will be virtually flawless. 

There may be one or two completely harmless, light surface lines, perhaps just from contact with the inner sleeve. 

The cover will also appear as practically new, perhaps with just the very slightest corner wear

EX (Excellent) : 

The record may show minor signs of having been played (light marks, light scuffs etc). 

The record may have some very slight surface hiss or rustle or a few minor tics here and there, but nothing that will affect playing 

and certainly no serious marks or scratches and no skips or jumps. The cover may have minor shelf wear or other slight wear

VG+ (Very Good plus) : 

The record will have obvious wear. It will still be playable, though probably with some surface noise. 

The cover will be worn and may have imperfections (for example a torn edge or split corner etc).

All records are inspected visually under strong light. We try to grade as carefully and as honestly as possible, 

but please bear in mind that only few records, especially very old records, have completely quiet surfaces. 

As an example, a 33CX, LXT or ALP issue from the 50s may look perfect, 

but will probably play with a little surface rustle, simply due to the pressing and the age of the vinyl
