Such an incredibly RARE disc to find in TOP shape, here we have a simply AWESOME set of recordings from one of TAMLA MOTOWN's very finest artists!!!  Produced by no less than BERRY GORDY (founder of the label), here from 1964 we have one of the very earliest UK releases from THE SUPREMES!!!!  To make things even better, this is a FACTORY SAMPLE copy!!!!  The performances cover the songbooks of THE BEATLES, THE ANIMALS, THE MIRACLES, THE DAVE CLARK FIVE and THE CONTOURS!!!

As you'll see from the photo, this is unconditionally guaranteed to be the ORIGINAL 1964 UK 1st FACTORY SAMPLE pressing made with machine-stamped matrices, so you can forget about having to settle for one of those dodgy so-called "limited re-pressings" (many of which are actually bootlegs) that are flooding the market.

 

A TRULY fantastic and legendary LP, any fan of The Supremes, Diana Ross, the Motown and Soul scenes or 60s music in general will simply have to have this item in their collection!!!!

Grade (labels): The classic black labels with silver print, embossed 'KT' at the centre and "Sold in the UK...." text are in AWESOME condition; there is NO wear and just a few light spindle trails that are mainly on the Side 2 label!!!  Side 1 bears a FACTORY SAMPLE label, supporting the notion that this gem one one of the first copies to have emerged from the pressing plant and intended for promotional use!!!

Grade (vinyl): Housed within its original, crisp 'Emitex' ricepaper-lined inner bag, this heavy hunk of magnificent vinyl is absolutely stunning and strictly graded at MINT minus!!!  Sitting perfectly flat on the turntable, the deep-grooved platter is in absolutely awesome shape with a lovely sheen and it plays wonderfully loud and clear throughout. Of course, with the hyper-sensitivity of modern styli and amplifiers, any lucky winning bidder would need to accept the likelihood of a 50 year-old hunk of used vinyl producing a touch of general noise and static here and there.  Good luck in finding another one of these nuggets......... they just do NOT turn up very often in this shape!!!!

 

Grade (sleeve): Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd, this earliest possible 'Patents Pending' sleeve is in over all MINT minus shape; the front is stunningly shiny, the spine is crisp and clear with no signs of wear and the matt white back is bright!!  In fact, it's very hard to imagine ever finding a better example of the sleeve!!!
