Undated Pressing (Believed to be circa 1959) on the Hmv Records Label - ALP 1526 - Matrix No's 2X VH -76 - 3N & 2X VH - 77 - 1N. Side 1: Band 1 : The Hebrides Overture (Fingal's Cave) - Mendelssohn, Band 2 and 3 : Waltz and Finale (Tema Russo) from Serenade in C Major, Op. 48 - Tchaikovsky. Side 2 : Band 1 : Oberon Overture - Weber, Band 2 : The Merry Wives of Windsor Overture - Nicolai, Band 3: Emperor Waltz, Op. 437 - Johann Strauss, 2nd. Vinyl - Vg - Looks little played and retains a nice glossy surface shine, some light surface marks visible under strong light, A side Plays Very Good throughout with occasional light click heard, B side also plays very good throughout - light clicks heard in places - Still a great listen. Sleeve -Vg - Provided in original sleeve which shows some age related wear although nothing major - some slight dents and wear to the opening edge and also the laminate is starting to lift and peel at the bottom front opening edge - see pics. Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
