USED RECORDS
These are records from my collection. I am very picky when I buy a used record, this my usual procedure:
1) The cover must be in VG+, VG++ to E+ condition (hopefully the record is just as good).I just don't need to buy something with a bad cover because the record usually is too,but not always.
2) The record has to at least look like VG++ to E+, it's rarely ever been played or at least very well taken care of. Take it home and hope for the best. If it's too noisy or pops when I get it home, I return it.
So, I will only sell records that I would own.You should be very happy with my records for sale.If I notice or remember any defects I will list them in the description.
If you are really picky, please don't bid. They are "AS-IS" and not returnable.I am not in the record business. I just don't listen to them anymore and want to lighten my load.
The ratings below are taken verbatim from the Goldmine site. This is the only grade of cover/record I will offer for sale from my used records collection.
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)or EXCELLENT (E) A good description of a VG+ record is "except for a couple minor things, this would be Near Mint." Most collectors, especially those who want to play their records, will be happy with a VG+ record, especially if it toward the high end of the grade (sometimes called VG++ or E+).
VG+ RECORDS may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Minor signs of handling are OK, too, such as telltale marks around the center hole, but repeated playing has not misshapen the hole. There may be some very light ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable.
VG+ COVERS should have only minor wear. A VG+ cover might have some very minor seam wear or a split (less than one inch long) at the bottom, the most vulnerable location. Also, a VG+ cover may have some defacing, such as a cut-out marking. Covers with cut-out markings can never be considered Near Mint.
NEW RECORDS
If the record is listed as NEW or SEALED, they are something I bought and never opened and are to the best of my knowledge NEAR MINT unless cosmetic damage to the cover is listed.
If you have any specific questions, please email me before you bid.
