Some of you will know just how successful the Cancer is a C***! Weekender was back in February 2013, Skinheads, Scooterists, General undesirables and Friends all got together and managed to raise over £12,000 for five deserving cancer related charities, Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and Wisdom Hospice (Rochester). In 2014 we did it again but obviously its had to be bigger and better. One of this years fundraising ideas was a strictly limited edition 7inch 45RPM single, produced through the generosity of a number of individuals who wish to remain nameless, but provided the tracks for the single, the label art, the label printing, the mastering and stamper production and finally the actual pressing of the records themselves. AFter Potst and packing and eBay fees, paypal fees etc a minimum of £10 from every copy sold will be donated to the nominated Cancer charities The Boss side features an exclusive and previously unreleased next cut to Laurel Aitken's classic Skinhead Train, produced in recent times, BUT if I hadn't told you would believe it dated from 1969. The Soul Side features a rare and in demand club R&B thriller from 1962 which we defy you not to dance too! The 45 is pressed in a limited edition of 300 and was available at the event over the weekend and the remaining few copies are now offered on line. All funds raised from the sale of these records will go to the nominated Cancer charities, this means 100% as there are no production/manufacturing costs to deduct!! Hands in pockets and support worthy causes by buying yourself a future collectable!!
