Perhaps the first reprinted reissue version of his absolute monster heavy guitar album by the one-time Other Half/Blue Cheer guitarist. Randy's work with Blue Cheer (limited to side 2 of New, Improved!) is the stuff of legend, but with Population II, he re-wrote the books on what it means to be 'heavy'.  In an exact facsimile of the original Hobbit Records release. Briefly available in 1970, it was his only solo recording until Randy's 1997 resurrection album on Captain Trip. Population II is merely the heaviest rock record of all time, deserving of it's own genre: monster-plod, power-surge sonic deconstruction - like nothing else before or since (forget about 'doom'). A duo only recording, featuring: Holden (guitar, bass, vocals) & Chris Lockheed (drums). Special guest stars: Sunn Amps!
