I've decided to sell a few of my Pink Floyd collectibles: This one is a Japanese half-speed Mastersound recording which I purchased new circa 1980. If you know about how LPs are made you know that Japanese pressings are generally the best, and this one is exceptional. I only played the record once in 1980 to record it onto a high-quality casette, so it is in mint, near-unplayed condition. I've kept it carefully stored since then, it hasn't been handled at all in 25+ years.
As you can see from the photos:
- The sleeve still has the original obi, which is in fairly good shape (a few minor tears on the edges)
- The record is in an anti-static sleeve, then in a WYWH sleeve, then in a Mastersound sleeve. It's well protected.
- Also included are a large insert with information about the record plus the history of Pink Floyd (in Japanese), also a postcard, a Mastersound brochure, and some kind of product registration form.
- The record is in a sturdy plastic outer sleeve which has also kept dust etc from getting in.
Thanks for looking, I'll be posting a few other items soon. Please let me know if you have any questions.
