ADDITIONAL NOTES: Evergreen west coast jazz masterpiece. Excellent combination of both west coast and east coast musicians. Any Pacific Jazz reissue of JAPAN KING RECORDS is rare in comparison with its Toshiba EMI counterparts, which are sometimes released today or CD age as well as in the past: In the history of Japanese music business, Toshiba EMI, as licensee of Dick Bock’s Pacific Jazz Records , has been almost an exclusive agency, while JAPAN KING Records was licensed, only once in later 1970s- mid 1980s , to press and sell Pacific Jazz Records catalog as well as Blue Note Records catalog by their USA owner or United Artsists Records. JAPAN KING pressings of Pacific Jazz records, according to its catalog semiology, appeared first as GXF series (limited issue series of Pacific Jazz classics), and then (to my memory) were issued as limited K18P or K23P series not as regular series such as Blue Note reissues because  Japanese Pacific Jazz records market was much smaller than Blue Note records market. Thus Pacific Jazz reissues by JAPAN KING RECORDS are rare. This listed well-known LP was one of first Pacific Jazz GXF series. Recommended!!
