GRADING:  NM, EX, VG+, VG, G

NEAR MINT (NM): Vinyl may have a few superficial marks on close inspection, but play is not notably effected. Likely only played a couple of times.

EXCELLENT (EX): Record may show signs of very careful use, such as light paper scuffs, but retains a high gloss, and listening quality is still very high.

VERY GOOD++  (VG++) Plays EX but has a few more superficial marks.  Still great playing copy. Should satisfy most discerning listeners.  

VERY GOOD+ (VG+): Will have more marks and light scratches from mild use. Occasional surface noise may be noticeable during soft passages or between tracks.

VERY GOOD (VG): Well played - but not abused. Surface noise will be more noticeable during some tracks. No deep scratches, skips or loud pops.

GOOD (G): Record is playable without skipping, but will have surface noise throughout most tracks. We won't sell a record in this condition unless it is extremely rare.

 

 

Records are graded visually and potential problems are play-tested to ensure the most accurate assessment. The entire record is sometimes digitally sampled (especially vintage) for our own use, and because scratches are easy to see in the waveform. A thorough evaluation can be provided upon request.
