  THE BEATLES YESTERDAY AND TODAY BUTCHER COVER 3rd STATE MONO
      For auction is this ultra rare 1966 Beatles Yesterday and Today album often referred to as "The Butcher Album" because of it's graphic cover. After public pressure the producers were forced to change the label after many were already released and while there was a recall few were already purchased!! Many of the covers were simply covered over with the "luggage label," which featured Paul inside a large suitcase, This album and cover are in very fine condition. There is a small wear spot on the left side of the cover otherwise it is great shape! The record itself has minimal wear also. In our opinion we would grade this album and cover a 6 maybe a 7 out of 10. It comes with a recall explanation letter from Capitol dated June 14th. 1966 and signed by Ron Topper, a manager at Capitol Records. This letter asked consumers to return their Butcher album in exchange for a new Luggage album. We don't know how many people returned those original Butcher albums, but we bet they long regret it!! So look at the pictures, check our 100% positive feedback and add this historical album to your Beatles memorabillia collection or give it as a gift!!
