Here’s an awesome original mono pressing of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles! If you’ve ever wanted one of these in nearly “straight out of the factory” condition, here it is. The vinyl grades Near Mint Minus due to one light paper line on side one. Side two is a full Near Mint! The cover looks like the day it came home from the store. There is a “cut out” hole from the original record distributor in the cover, commonly found on these “late mono” LPs. As the record industry was phasing out the mono format in 1967/68, many mono records were marked as cut outs and placed in discount bins at record stores. These mono pressings were also made in smaller quantities during this time, making them a lot harder to find than their stereo counterparts. Intrestingly, this copy came with a stock 1967-era Capitol innersleeve and insert… proof of this is the cut-out hole through the sleeve, as well as the Sgt Pepper badge insert. It looks like the factory may have run out of the custom psychedelic multi-colored sleeve when this LP was pressed, and reverted to the standard sleeve. I had a spare set of clean copies of both the custom sleeve and badges insert, and I am including these as well in the interest of making a complete set. Check out the pictures to see everything you will receive. Very nice copy, very hard to find in this kind of condition! It’s on the Capitol label, number MAS-2653. Drop me a message if ebay doesn’t calculate shipping for you. California residents add 8.225% tax. Happy bidding!!
