The sophomore album from Tennessee's Cherub, 2014's Year of the Caprese follows up the group's 2012 debut, MoM & DaD. Once again showcasing the talents of Jason Huber and Jordan Kelley, Year of the Caprese features more of the duo's '70s and '80s disco, funk, and soul-inflected music. In that sense, Year of the Caprese bridges the gap between the retro-electronic disco of Daft Punk and the similarly inclined comedic pop-rap of 3OH!3.
