Here’s a very rare blues LP by Lightnin’ Hopkins! The LP is entitled “Lightnin’ Hopkins Strums The Blues”. It’s on the Score label, number SLP-4022, original pressing from 1958. The vinyl grades in the G range, lots of wear and scuffing, some scratches, nothing really deep. It played all the way through on my Pro-ject turntable with no skips. There is a fair amount of surface noise, partially because of the wear, and partially because that’s the way these pressings were manufactured. The cover has old white cloth tape on the seams, and Hazel was kind enough to write her name on the cover. It’s a worn copy, but a very rare album.
