******** GRADING GUIDE ********
** SS (Still Sealed)
Vinyl has never been opened and can't be visually graded, it is assumed to be in mint condition.
Jacket is sealed in shrink wrap and is in like new condition. Jacket may be downgraded for bumps, cut corners, saw cuts or tears in the plastic.
** NM (Near Mint)
A record in this condition will appear almost perfect. There may have a couple light marks but no scratches.
Jacket appears nearly new, without damage.
** EX (Excellent)
A record in this condition will appear almost perfect. Close examination may reveal a few light sleeve scuffs or superficial marks that typically do not affect play.
Jacket is in great condition but may have small corner bumps, very light wear on edges or a hint of ringwear. May be in original shrink.
** VG+ (Very Good Plus)
A record in this condition will have some visible imperfections. These may include sleeve scuffs, superficial marks and light scratches. Imperfections may, but typically do not, produce some noise.
Jacket is intact and looks good but may have some age related wear. Some ringwear, seam wear, light stains or small writing. A saw cut or cut corner will make any jacket this grade.
** VG (Very Good)
A record in this condition will have visible imperfections like those on a VG+ record (sleeve scuffs, light scratches) but in greater number. Expect to hear surface noise but playable and enjoyable.
Jacket may have a number of condition issues including; writing, large seam split, water stains, tape. This jacket still protects the vinyl but doesn't look great.
** G (Good)
A record in this condition has many issues and may have one or more scratches that can be felt with a fingernail. Good enough to hold a place.
Jacket is pretty much trashed. A 'Good' record is primarily only good to hold a place in a collection until a better copy is found or if the copy is a rare original.
