Camper Van Beethoven II & III vinyl LP. This is the band's second album released 01/1986. The genre is considered alternative rock and college rock. The band is considered influential to the early beginnings of Indie rock. The band also incorporates elements of pop, ska, punk rock, folk, alternative country, and world music. This is not your mainstream stuff that your being bomb blasted with daily. One Must have an open mind and be familiar with the this band in order to appreciate. This will also make a nice addition to your indie artist LP collection. The album has been listened to all the way through and it sounds nice and clear. I would rate the disc a [ M- ], but the jacket is slightly above average. The jacket is not mint. The only wear to the jacket you should expect is ring wear. No bends, creases, stains, writing, or folds. A new paper inner sleeve had to be provided. The disc has been cleaned and ready to listen. The album comes in a new 3 mil outer sleeve.
Mint (M): Perfect in every way, looks to have never been played, should have that look just as it did when you pulled the record from the new cover at the time of original purchase.
Mint Minus (M-): A nearly perfect record and cover. This item should show no readily visible signs of wear, covers and sleeves should have no more than nearly invisible rings or other signs of slight wear and vinyl should still be completely glossy and shiny, just the very lightest hint of wear if it is tilted to very bright light.
Very Good Plus (VG+): This record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled carefully by the previous owner. Record surfaces will show some light signs of paper scuffing or light scratches, that don't affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect sound are OK. This disc should still contain much of its original luster and sheen. The covers and picture sleeves should also be in very nice shape, they may have light ring wear or other signs of wear, may have a small cut out hole, indention or stamping present. Also there can be non obvious writing on the paper goods.
Very Good (VG): Many of the defects found in the VG+ record and cover will be present but more pronounced in the VG item. Surface noise will be evident, although the record should play through without skipping or repeating. Groove wear will now be noticeable, scuffing and light scratching will be apparent, a scratch now can be felt with a fingernail. Labels will be marred with tape or tape residue, stickers or writing. The same will be true for the LP cover or picture sleeve.
Good (G): Good does not mean bad! A record in good condition should be placed on a turntable and it should play through, all though the surface noise will be evident. A cover or picture sleeve will have seam splitting, especially on the bottom seam or spine. Also there will be noticeable ring wear caused by the presence of the record.
Fair (F) or Poor (P): This record will be cracked, badly warped, and will not play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve or LP cover will show lots and lots of wear, the seams will be split on all three sides barely able to hold the record. This item will appear near valueless, unless of course it is a rarity that may not be seen again.
