My rating system is based on visible, discernible characteristics of the Album Jacket, Vinyl, and Inner Sleeve as follows:

M       In original shrink wrap, never opened or played, no damage, creases, or corner fraying
NM    Best possible condition after being opened.  Album jacket may have very slight marks or wear, but vinyl should have no scratches
NM-   Album jacket may have very slight marks or wear, and vinyl may have one or two light scratches
EX+   Some light wear, scuffs, creases, and corner wear on the album jacket, and very few and/or light vinyl scratches
EX-    Moderate album jacket wear on the face, edges, and corners but still complete, bright and clean.  Moderate vinyl scratches and/or scuffs
VG+   Significant visible wear on the album jacket but still clean, and relati9vely colorful.  Moderate vinyl scratches but may covers less than 50% of the surface area
VG-    Significant visible wear while still being complete.  Moderate vinyl scratches but covers more than 50% of the surface area
Poor   Lots of wear while still resembling a record album, with significant vinyl scratches
