Originally, this was a clear vinyl record. Over time, oxidization has caused some rust colored swirls and a rust colored rim around the outer edge to appear. Personally I prefer this look, and I feel like I got lucky with the oxidization pattern since the rusty waves are so evenly distributed. If they had mostly been towards one edge, for instance, it might have looked awkward.
Sometimes It's really hard to see scratches on clear vinyl and can't really see many on this. I do see 2, though. One is a few inches long but both appear to be very light. I'm going to assume that there are more that I'm just not able to see because of the translucent vinyl. Not likely anything bad enough to cause a skip or disturb the listening too much, but there could be a few pops and clicks audible here and there. VG
The insert is in great shape though it does have some vague signs of light handling and a couple very faint and small stains here and there. The bottom edge has a 4 to 5 inch long seam split, as is very common with this type of insert, but the left and right edges are surprisingly undamaged. VG
The cover has a good deal of wear and tear but it is mostly on the edges and so it still looks decent enough from the front and the back. There is Light ring wear on the front and the back. On the back it is Light leaning a bit towards Moderate level. It has the usual handful of veins at the left and top edges but all are less than an inch in length and fairly faint. The bottom right corner has a small bend about 1 inch X 2 centimeters. There are a couple small nicks in the paper near the bottom edge of the back cover. The front has a price tag from a record store. The 4 corner tips have Moderate to Severe wear depending on the corner. The spine edge has the worst of the damage and there is a gaping hole in that edge about 4 inches long. All the title text is worn away. The shelf edge also has severe wear but it has not yet worn all the way through. The top edge has Moderate Light wear. overall it still looks good from front and back but because of the Severe damage to the spine and shelf edges I can't grade it better than G.

Grades that I use are G-, G, G+, G++, G+++, VG, VG+, VG++, VG+++/EX, NM. I won't be describing anything as M or MINT unless it is unopened and the packaging is completely unblemished. Records that have never been played but HAVE been opened, will be described as Near Mint or NM. These are the adjectives that I use when describing damage: Very Light, Light, Moderate, Severe, Catastrophic. To describe damage in between those ranks I say things like: "Moderate leaning towards Severe," "Moderate leaning towards light," or "In between Light and Moderate"...just for example.
