Available here is a wonderful, unique box set of 45s - Gounod's "Faust" (Highlights) by Sir Thomas Beecham - conducting the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra - released in the mid-1950s on RCA Red Seal. This box set (WCT 1100), consists of (4) RED VINYL 45s. This beautiful operatic performance is sung in French (recorded in England), and was released by RCA in the United States.
This set is 60+ years old, and the vinyl on all discs in in excellent condition - VG++, with a total of 3-4 hairlines or minor smudging across the eight sides. The discs are not in sleeves, as explained by RCA in one of the (6) pieces of printed material that comes with this set (see photos). The box is in very good shape with the hinge fully attached and working perfectly, otherwise normal wear with just a bit of paper loss on the title edge. The inside cover has a bit of writing on the left and a stamp on the right (see photo). All eight labels are in nice, clean, complete shape. There is a 4-page RCA insert describing the opera and what is on each record side, one insert that explains why the 45s are not in sleeves, and (4) other single-page RCA promo pieces (see photos), all in good shape with no writing, rips, or dog-ears.
You'd be hard-pressed to find this box set anywhere, let alone in such top condition. See product description and photos for more detail and make this unique 4-disc box set of 45s - "Faust" (Highlights) from RCA Victor Red Seal, on RED VINYL - yours today!
