Leadbelly (Huddle William Ledbetter) Vinyl Albums ( very rare 3-record boxset) was born on Jan. 23, 1888 in Mooringsport, LA and during his career he wrote "Midnight Special" (his cover song) in 1940 & recorded by many people.   As a general rule he played a 12-string guitar, and as many of you may know, there are only a hand full of 12- string guitar pickers out there.  This is acoustic music, and most musicians today play electric instruments. This boxset was recorded by John A. & Alan Lomax for the Library of Congress during the years of 1934 to 1943.    Condition is very gently used.     Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
